Rone Jaxx
Rone Jaxx (born Rony Jackson) is a disc jockey, artist, radio personality, entertainer, and an urban music legend. Rone was born in Dubai on April 27, 1979 as Rony Jackson to Christian Pakistani parents. He was raised in Dubai. Growing up on his dad's Motown, Funk and Soul records and then his elder brothers eclectic DJ collection of Reggae, RnB, Hiphop, Disco & House, he has been a fan of music and entered the music industry in an early age.〔http://www.radio1uae.com/UrbanEducation〕 He says, "Well it was a natural progression, my elder brothers were DJs, my dad is a music lover, I used to be an art student, drawing and listening to my Walkman of mixes I used to make for myself using tape decks." Back in the days when U.A.E was not a popular place for Urban music fashion, Rone used to keep updated by ordering vinyl, Books ,Vhs, documentaries e.g BET , YoMtv Raps etc and everything and anything to do with music anytime a friend traveled.
